The definition of security alarm can be very different depending on who you ask. The goal of this section is to provide you with the knowledge to make informed decisions on creating a secure environment for you and your family.

Security as a noun

1. The state of being free from danger or injury

2. Measures taken as a precaution against theft or espionage or sabotage.

3. Freedom from anxiety or fear.

4. An electrical device that sets off an alarm when someone tries to break in.

Alarm as a noun

1. A device that signals the occurrence of some undesirable event.

2. An automatic signal (usually a sound) warning of danger.
